Hello and welcome to our Mile Cross location. Hopefully you'll find all the details you need below but the best way to get to know us is by visiting us at one of our Sunday gatherings. Hopefully we'll see you soon.
We start with coffee and cake at 10.45am and finish the gathering around 12.45pm.
Make yourself at home
Our meeting kicks off with sung worship, often with some contributions from church family. During that time please feel free to stand or sit, sing or hum - we want you to feel at home with us. After that you'll often hear some church news – highlighting stuff coming up in the life of King's –which will usually be followed by a talk (or ‘preach’) from one of our leaders, lasting around 30 minutes. After that we usually return to sung worship, giving people a space to reflect on and respond to what we have just heard.
Location & parking
The Norman Centre, next to the Primary School (NR3 2QZ)
There is plenty of parking at the Norman Centre.
What should I wear?
You’re invited to come as you are, whether it’s a suit or shorts you feel most comfortable wearing. We generally tend to dress pretty casual.
During the Week
We also love to serve and engage with our local community around the estate regularly throughout the week. We do this at The Venue - which is adjacent to the Norman Centre.
King's Kids and Youth
All of our leaders of King's Kids groups and Radiate are DBS checked and are supervised by leaders of the church. We also have a comprehensive safeguarding policy in place.
We have activities available for children and youth on a Sunday. Please ask our Welcome Team for more information if you’re unsure, or you can follow directions from the front. Our children and youth spend the first part of the morning in the meeting with the adults and then leave for their own groups. There is no pressure for your children to go out to the activities, feel free to keep them in the meeting with you.
Footsteps (Crèche & Pre-School)
Footsteps is available for all children under school age, meeting in the King’s Venue; adjacent to the Norman Centre. You are welcome to stay with your children or they can normally be left with our King’s Kids Team. All children must be signed in and out by a parent or carer.
Frantik (School years Reception to 6)
Frantik is a fun-packed morning with games, songs and activities for primary school age children, meeting from 11.30am in the Bignold Room. Simply follow the children and parents as they leave the meeting and our Welcome Team will direct you.All children must be signed in and out by a parent or carer.
Radiate (School years 7-11)
Our youth group, Radiate, meets on Sundays for school years 7-11. They meet in the Meeting Place Cafe in the Norman Centre, leaving the main meeting just before the talk. Some mornings they stay in the meeting for the talk, just follow directions from the front on the day. Radiate also meet on Friday nights at the King’s Centre.
We love students and as a church we want to welcome you into the King's family.
Our aim, as a community, is to make much of Jesus. We do this by loving Him and loving one another.
The best way to get to know us is to join us for a Sunday gathering as well as getting involved in one of our LIFE Groups.
