LIFE Groups.
Smaller groups that meet during the week; helping each other grow in our relationship with Jesus, build community, and discover our gifts.
“Hello! We’re Elliott and Lucy. We oversee LIFE groups at King’s, supported by a brilliant LIFE group team.
We have been King’s members for over 25 years and know, from our own experience, how important LIFE groups are in helping King’s members through life’s ups and downs, equipping them to walk well with Jesus and be witnesses in their local area.”
The primary aim of LIFE groups is to help members develop into mature disciples of Jesus; providing a safe place to study the bible together, build community, develop spiritual gifts and reach out into communities around Norwich. LIFE groups (sometimes known as small groups or home groups in other churches) generally meet on a weeknight.
They’re a space where church becomes more personal, where you can ask questions, share life honestly, and encourage each other as you follow Jesus.
LIFE is an acronym, standing for Learning, Integration, Friendship and Everyone a witness.
We Learn through bible studies and discussing preaches with the aid of wordsheets, helping us to apply the teaching of Jesus to our lives.
Integration is important to help new members find their place at King’s as they gather with other followers of Jesus.
Friendships develop as we get to know each other better and begin to develop trust that allows strongholds to be broken. We eat together, have social events and have times of prayer and worship.
We believe that Everyone can be a witness and have a role in helping others to come to follow Jesus. That will look different for different groups, from direct evangelism to serving at King’s or in local communities.
