Hello and welcome to our City West location. Hopefully you'll find all the details you need below but the best way to get to know us is by visiting us at one of our Sunday gatherings. Hopefully we'll see you soon.
Make yourself at home
Our meeting kicks off with sung worship, often with some contributions from church family. During that time please feel free to stand or sit, sing or hum - we want you to feel at home with us. After that you'll often hear some church news – highlighting stuff coming up in the life of King's –which will usually be followed by a talk (or ‘preach’) from one of our leaders, lasting around 30 minutes. After that we usually return to sung worship, giving people a space to reflect on and respond to what we have just heard.
We begin with drinks and cake at 3pm with our meeting starting at 3.30pm.
Location & parking
West Earlham Junior School, Scarnell Road, NR5 8HT
We meet in the heart of the West Earlham area and are less than a ten minute walk from the UEA campus. There is also plenty of parking at the school.
What should I wear?
You’re invited to come as you are, whether it’s a suit or shorts you feel most comfortable wearing. We generally tend to dress pretty casual.
King's Kids and Youth
All of our leaders of King's Kids groups and Radiate are DBS checked and are supervised by leaders of the church. We also have a comprehensive safeguarding policy in place.
We have activities available for children on a Sunday. Please ask our Welcome Team for more information if you’re unsure, or you can follow directions from the front. Our children spend the first part of the afternoon in the meeting with the adults and then leave for their own groups. There is no pressure for your children to go to the activities, feel free to keep them in the meeting with you.
Twinklers (Crèche & Pre-School)
Twinklers is available for all children under school age. You are welcome to stay with your children or they can normally be left with our King’s Kids Team. All children must be signed in and out by a parent or carer.
The Spark (School years Reception to 6)
The Spark is a fun-packed afternoon with games, songs and activities for primary school age children. It starts at 3.45pm and finishes around 5pm. Simply follow the children and parents as they leave the meeting and our King’s Kids Team will direct you. All children must be signed in and out by a parent or carer.
Radiate (School years 7-9)
Our youth group, Radiate, meets Sundays for school years 7-9. They alternate between meeting together and staying in for the talk. Radiate also meet on Friday nights at the King’s Centre.
We love students and as a church we want to welcome you into the King's family.
We meet in West Earlham Junior school which is less than a 10 minute walk from the UEA campus, near the Village accommodation.
Our aim, as a community, is to make much of Jesus. We do this by loving Him and loving one another. The best way to get to know us is to join us for a Sunday gathering. We also have lunches, pub trips, and friendly smiles, so whether you're an undergrad or postgrad we hope you find a home with us here at King's.
