King’s BIG Weekend Away & BIG Day Out
Once again King's are offering everyone the opportunity to go away together for 2 nights camping. Or (if you don’t fancy camping) there’s the BIG day out - an opportunity to come together as a family and enjoy some outdoorsy fun together!
The BIG Weekend Away
12th - 14th July
As last year we will be at The Old Vicarage Site, a beautiful campsite just outside Acle and King's have booked the whole site for the weekend for our exclusive use. The campsite offers a 'back to basics' approach with fire pits available to cook on and simple toilets and showers onsite.
With the site set on a working farm and fields all around it makes for a great opportunity for the King's family to get away from it all together. Friends and family are really welcome to join us so do invite anyone along!
There will be opportunity to eat together each night, join others at The Big Day Out on the Saturday and the possibility of some star gazing at night.
More information about the site plus photos can be found on it's website www.oldvicaragecamping.co.uk.
What time can I arrive?
The site is available from 4pm on Friday 13th and we can stay until 4pm on the Sunday 15th.
Can I bring my Caravan/ Motorhome/Trailer Tent?
This is a tent only campsite but we have manage to negotiate with the campsite to accept some caravans, motorhomes or trailer tents. Space is limited for these and there will be a £10 flat rate charge for each brought onto site.
What if I don't have a tent but want to come?
If you don't have a tent don't worry! We can provide you with a tent free of charge which will be ready for you to set up onsite - just note this when you book your place. We have a variety of sizes from 2 or 3 persons to one large family tent. These will be allocated on a first come first serve basis on booking and numbers available are limited.
What about camping equipment?
If you can bring your bedding, crockery, cooking utensils, food for the weekend and a camping chair there will be cooking facilities available plus a large covered communal area for everyone to eat together.
What washing and toilet facilities are onsite?
The site has composting toilets and hot showers. All these are basic but very clean and new. There are washing up facilities as well.
Can I bring my BBQ?
No BBQ's please - there will be a single large BBQ available for everyone to use and individual fire pits for cooking. You are welcome to bring gas camping stoves.
Will we be eating together?
We will all eat together at the BBQ on the Saturday at the Big Day out. For the rest of the time each person / family needs to provide their own food. There will be a communal large BBQ available for you to use and the campsite has braziers with a cooking plate that is available for each tent / family. The campsite charges £5 per bundle of wood for the brazier and we are not allowed to bring our own wood.
Is there electricity onsite?
There is no electricity available onsite
Can I freeze my freezer blocks?
There is a freezer onsite for any coolbox freezer packs
Is the site suitable for young children?
Children will always need to be supervised and are the responsibility of their parents. The site is a large open field with surrounding fields and a working farm next door
Do I need to book into the Big Day Out as well?
No - you will be automatically booked into the Big Day Out with your weekend booking. Please do let us know dietary requirements for the BBQ on the day.
The BIG Day Out
From 11am - 3pm at The Old Vicarage Campsite we will be hosting an event for all King's Family plus friends and family which will include games, 5 aside football, a BBQ, craft activities for the kids and an opportunity to spend time together.

Can I park at the site?
Parking at the campsite is limited and priority will be given to those who are camping for the weekend. Please consider car sharing with others.
How can I get there if I don't drive?

What food is provided on the day?
The BBQ will provide everyone with a burger or hot dog or a vegetarian/vegan option if required. Please note any dietary requirements when you book your ticket
