Mile Cross Community
At this challenging time it can be hard to feel hopeful about the future. You may be facing struggles physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually. Our heart is to bring hope into the lives of people who need it.
We believe every person matters and we wish to restore hope and dignity to those in need. We are committed to playing our part in bringing hope and care to the communities that we are a part of in Norwich.
Current initiatives in Mile Cross:
Our groups do change fairly regularly so for the latest information please visit our The King’s Venue Facebook page.
Zoom Groups - For some of the groups that were meeting weekly at the King's Venue we have created the opportunity to continue to catch up and support each other using Zoom.
Cuppa & Catch Up - meet on a Monday in person to share top tips on gardening, knitting & much more. Booking is essential for this activity! Cuppa & Catch Up also meet online over Zoom on a Tuesday morning.
Footsteps Friday (our pre-school group) - meet on a Friday to catch up, read a story and sing songs.
FISH (Fun & Food in School Holidays) - We would normally be running sessions during the school holidays providing food and fun activities for families we support in the Mile Cross community. We have adapted this at this time and are delivering food parcels to these families as well as family fun activity packs with craft and sports resources together with ideas to enjoy family time together.
