Gordon served as a pastor for more than forty years, 21 of those at Grace Chapel, Lexington, Massachusetts. He was also president of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for three years.

“Of all the great leaders to come across from the States, the one I make sure I clear time for in my diary is Gordon McDonald. Why? The practical wisdom that he consistently shares, prompts me to not just to sustain and succeed in my ministry but also in my life.”
