City West meets at St Peter’s Park Lane (NR2 3EQ), not far from the UEA. On Sundays we kick off with coffee and cake from 3pm, the church meeting starts around 3.30pm and finishes by 5pm.
What to expect
Everyone is welcome to join us on a Sunday. If you’re new to church our meetings can seem a little bit daunting. To help you feel at home we’ve highlighted what you can expect from a typical Sunday with us.
Make yourself at home
We kick things off with coffee (or tea!) and cake from 3pm and our meeting normally starts at 3.30pm.
This includes some sung worship, often with some contributions from church family. During that time please feel free to stand or sit, sing or hum - we want you to feel at home with us. After that you'll often hear some church news – highlighting stuff coming up in the life of King's –which will usually be followed by a talk (or ‘preach’) from one of our leaders, lasting around 30 minutes. After that we usually return to sung worship, giving people a space to reflect on and respond to what we have just heard.
Don’t rush off!
After the meeting please hang around and grab another drink. If you’re new you can chat to our Welcome Team who would love to get to know you and answer any questions you might have.
If there’s anything you need while you’re with us, or there’s anything you’re not sure about, please grab one of our Welcome Team – wearing purple badges (and a big smile).
King's Kids and Youth
We have activities available for children on a Sunday. Please ask our Welcome Team for more information if you’re unsure, or you can follow directions from the front. Our children spend the first part of the afternoon in the meeting with the adults and then leave for their own groups. There is no pressure for your children to go to the activities, feel free to keep them in the meeting with you.
Twinklers (Crèche & Pre-School)
Twinklers is available for all children under school age. You are welcome to stay with your children or they can normally be left with our King’s Kids Team. All children must be signed in and out by a parent or carer.
The Spark (School years Reception to 6)
The Spark is a fun-packed afternoon with games, songs and activities for primary school age children. It starts at 3.45pm and finishes around 5pm. Simply follow the children and parents as they leave the meeting and our King’s Kids Team will direct you. All children must be signed in and out by a parent or carer.
Radiate (School years YEARS 7-9)
Our youth group, Radiate, meets Sundays for school years 7-9. They alternate between meeting together and staying in for the talk. Radiate also meet on Friday nights at the King’s Centre.

Our children and youth activities are run by volunteers from King’s Community Church. All volunteers are DBS checked and are supervised by leaders of the church.
Little families within the bigger family
Life Groups are the heartbeat of King’s Community Church. They are small groups of people meeting in homes across Norwich, simply committed to doing life together and sharing the good news of Jesus with those around them.
Life Groups are the best way to connect into King’s and get to know people better.
We want new people to feel at home at King’s and what better way to do that than to meet in each other’s homes, to share food and enjoy life together. Life Groups are a place where we learn what it means to follow Jesus in our everyday lives; how we do family, friendships, work life, leisure, etc. This sometimes includes unpacking what we’ve heard on Sundays and encouraging each other to dig deeper into the bible to discover and apply more of it’s life-changing truth.
