Making all the difference at King's Care

Firstly thank you so much to everyone who has supported King’s Care over the year to date; donating food and clothing items, praying, helping to cook, saying a friendly hello to guests who have come on a Sunday morning – it has made all the difference! We have seen the teams grow and the project strengthened over the last six months.

We would love for others to join us, so if you have a heart for people and enjoy making them feel welcome it is quite likely you would be great on a team! Come and speak to us we will arrange for you to have a tryout so you can see what it is all about!

Signup sheets for the food bank are available at the Info Area at City Centre on Sundays or at King’s Centre Reception during the week – so if you would like to put your name down to provide food for King’s Care we can turn it into delicious meals for 80 people!

We are also looking to add to our clothing bank and would ask for donations of the following items only (if you have other clothing/ shoe items that you want to donate they would be better given to one of the charity shops as we cannot use them for King’s Care).

For Men:

  • Warm Tops
  • Fleeces
  • Thick Sweaters
  • New Socks & Underwear
  • Boots & Shoes
  • Tee Shirts
  • Jogging Bottoms
  • Jeans/Trousers, particularly the medium sizes.

For Women:

  • Jeans/Trousers
  • Warm Tops
  • Plain Flat Shoes (comfortable and weather proof)

We have a couple of sleeping bags but 3 or 4 more would be great.

For more information and to be kept up to date you can join the King’s Care groups on CCB.

Many thanks,
Ralf, Linda and the King’s Care Team
